126:1
Cantique des degrés.
A song of ascents. When the LORD restored the captives of Zion (note: Or brought back the captives to Zion or restored the fortunes of Zion), we were like dreamers (note: Or like those restored to health).
126:2
Alors notre bouche était remplie de cris de joie,
Then our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with shouts of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”
126:3
L’Éternel a fait pour nous de grandes choses;
The LORD has done great things for us; we are filled with joy.
126:4
Éternel, ramène nos captifs,
Restore our captives (note: Or Restore our fortunes), O LORD, like streams in the Negev.
126:5
Ceux qui sèment avec larmes
Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.
126:6
Celui qui marche en pleurant, quand il porte la semence,
He who goes out weeping, bearing a trail of seed, will surely return with shouts of joy, carrying sheaves of grain.
