Psalms 126

King James Version (1769 Blayney revision, with Apocrypha) · Berean Standard Bible

When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion (note: Heb. returned the returning of Zion), we were like them that dream.
A song of ascents. When the LORD restored the captives of Zion (note: Or brought back the captives to Zion or restored the fortunes of Zion), we were like dreamers (note: Or like those restored to health).
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them (note: Heb. hath magnified to do with them).
Then our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with shouts of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”
The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
The LORD has done great things for us; we are filled with joy.
Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.
Restore our captives (note: Or Restore our fortunes), O LORD, like streams in the Negev.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy (note: Or, singing).
Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed (note: Or, seed basket), shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
He who goes out weeping, bearing a trail of seed, will surely return with shouts of joy, carrying sheaves of grain.
