2:1

Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ἀαρὼν λέγων

Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron:

2:2

Ἄνθρωπος ἐχόμενος αὐτοῦ κατὰ τάγμα, κατὰ σημείας, κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, παρεμβαλέτωσαν ὁ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ· ἐναντίοι κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ.

“The Israelites are to camp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance from it, each man under his standard, with the banners of his family.

2:3

Καὶ οἱ παρεμβαλόντες κατὰ νότον κατ’ ἀνατολὰς τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Ἰούδα σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ἰούδα Ναασσὼν υἱὸς Ἀμειναδάβ·

On the east side, toward the sunrise, the divisions of Judah are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Judahites is Nahshon son of Amminadab,

2:4

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τέσσαρες καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 74,600.

2:5

καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Ἰσσαχάρ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσσαχὰρ Ναθαναὴλ υἱὸς Σωγάρ·

The tribe of Issachar will camp next to it. The leader of the Issacharites is Nethanel son of Zuar,

2:6

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τέσσαρες καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 54,400.

2:7

καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Ζαβουλών, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ζαβουλὼν Ἐλιὰβ υἱὸς χαιλών·

Next will be the tribe of Zebulun. The leader of the Zebulunites is Eliab son of Helon,

2:8

δύναμις αὐτῶν οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἑπτὰ καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 57,400.

2:9

πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἐκ τῆς παρεμβολῆς Ἰούδα ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακισχίλιοι καὶ τετρακόσιοι, σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· πρῶτοι ἐξαροῦσιν.

The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of Judah is 186,400; they shall set out first.

2:10

Τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Ῥουβήν, πρὸς λίβα δύναμις αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ῥουβὴν Ἐλισοὺρ υἱὸς Σεδιούρ·

On the south side, the divisions of Reuben are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Reubenites is Elizur son of Shedeur,

2:11

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἓξ καὶ τεσσεράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ

and his division numbers 46,500.

2:12

καὶ οἱ παρεμβαλόντες ἐχόμενοι αὐτοῦ φυλῆς Συμεών, καὶ ὁ τῶν υἱῶν Συμεὼν Σαλαμιὴλ υἱὸς Σουρισαδαί·

The tribe of Simeon will camp next to it. The leader of the Simeonites is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai,

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἐννέα καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τριακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 59,300.

2:14

καὶ οἱ παρεμβαλόντες ἐχόμενοι αὐτοῦ φυλὴ Γάδ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Γὰδ Ἐλεισὰφ υἱὸς Ῥαγουήλ·

Next will be the tribe of Gad. The leader of the Gadites is Eliasaph son ,

2:15

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι πέντε καὶ τεσσεράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα.

and his division numbers 45,650.

2:16

πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἐκ τῆς παρεμβολῆς Ῥουβὴν ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα μία χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα, σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· δεύτεροι ἐξαροῦσιν.

The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of Reuben is 151,450; they shall set out second.

2:17

Καὶ ἀρθήσεται ἡ σκηνὴ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ ἡ παρεμβολὴ τῶν Λευειτῶν μέσον τῶν παρεμβολῶν· ὡς καὶ παρεμβάλλουσιν, οὕτως καὶ ἐξαροῦσιν ἕκαστος ἐχόμενος καθ’ ἡγεμονίαν.

In the middle of the camps, the Tent of Meeting is to travel with the camp of the Levites. They are to set out in the order they encamped, each in his own place under his standard.

2:18

Τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Ἐφράιμ παρὰ θάλασσαν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ τῶν υἱῶν Ἐφράιμ ’Ελεισαμὰ υἱὸς Ἐμιούδ·

On the west side, the divisions of Ephraim are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Ephraimites is Elishama son of Ammihud,

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ μένοι τεσσεράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 40,500.

2:20

καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Μανασσή, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Μανασσὴ Γαμαλιὴλ υἱὸς Φαδασσούρ·

The tribe of Manasseh will be next to it. The leader of the Manassites is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur,

δύναμις οὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι δύο καὶ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 32,200.

2:22

καὶ οἱ παρεμβαλόντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Βενιαμείν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμεὶν Ἀβειδὰν υἱὸς Γσδεωνεί·

Next will be the tribe of Benjamin. The leader of the Benjamites is Abidan son of Gideoni,

2:23

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι πέντε καὶ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες κοὶ τετρακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 35,400.

2:24

πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τῆς παρεμβολῆς Ἐφράιμ ἑκατὸν χιλιάδες καὶ ὀκτακισχίλιοι καὶ ἑκατόν, σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· τρίτοι ἐξαροῦσιν.

The total number of men in the divisions of the camp of Ephraim is 108,100; they shall set out third.

2:25

Τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Δὰν πρὸς βορρᾶν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, κοὶ ὁ ὄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Δὰν Ἀχιέζερ υἱὸς Ἀμεισαδαί·

On the north side, the divisions of Dan are to camp under their standard: The leader of the Danites is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai,

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι δύο καὶ ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 62,700.

2:27

καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι αὐτοῦ φυλῆς Ἀσήρ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τόν υἱῶν Ἀσὴρ Φαγαιὴλ υἱὸς Ἐχράν·

The tribe of Asher will camp next to it. The leader of the Asherites is Pagiel son of Ocran,

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι μία· καὶ τεσσεράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 41,500.

2:29

καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Νεφθαλεί, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Νεφθαλεὶ Ἀχειρὲ υἱὸς Αἰνάν·

Next will be the tribe of Naphtali. The leader of the Naphtalites is Ahira son of Enan,

2:30

δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τρεῖς καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι. τετρακόσιοι.

and his division numbers 53,400.

2:31

πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τῆς παρεμβολῆς Δὰν ἑκατὸν καὶ ν΄ ἑπτὰ χιλιάδες καὶ ἔσχατοι ἐξαροῦσιν κατὰ τάγμα αὐτῶν.

The total number of men in the camp of Dan is 157,600; they shall set out last, under their standards.”

2:32

Αὕτη ἡ ἐπίκατ’ σκέψις τὼν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν· πᾶσα ἡ ἐπίὺν σκέψις τῶν παρεμβολῶν σὺν ταῖς δυνάμεσιν αὐτῶν ἑξακόσιαι χιλιάδες καὶ τρισχίλιοι πεντακόσιοι πεντήκοντα. νοὶ δὲ

These are the Israelites, numbered according to their families. The total of those counted in the camps, by their divisions, was 603,550.

2:33

οἱ Λευεῖται οὐ συνεπεσκέπησαν ἐν αὐτοῖς, καθὰ ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.

But the Levites were not counted among the other Israelites, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

2:34

καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ πάντα ὅσα συνέτφαξν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ. παρενέβαλον κατὰ τάγμα αὐτῶν, καὶ οὕτως ἐξῆρον ἕκαστος ἐχόμενοι κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν.

So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses; they camped under their standards in this way and set out in the same way, each man with his clan and his family.
