Καὶ ἐγένετο τὰ ὅρια υἱῶν Ἰωσὴφ ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἰορδάνου τοῦ κατὰ Ἰερειχὼ ἀπ’ ἀνατολῶν, καὶ ἀναβήσεται ἀπὸ Ἰερειχὼ εἰς τὴν ὀρεινὴν τὴν ἔρημον εἰς Βαιθὴλ Λοῦζα,
The allotment for the descendants of Joseph extended from the Jordan at Jericho to the waters of Jericho on the east, through the wilderness that goes up from Jericho into the hill country of Bethel.
καὶ ἐξελεύσεται εἰς Βαιθήλ, κα παρελεύσεται ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια τοῦ Χαταρωθεί,
It went on from Bethel (that is, Luz) and proceeded to the border of the Archites in Ataroth.
καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια Ἁπταλεὶμ ἕως τῶν ὁρίων Βαιθωρὼν τὴν κάτω, κοὶ ἱστᾶι ἡ διέξοδος αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν.
Then it descended westward to the border of the Japhletites as far as the border of Lower Beth-horon and on to Gezer, and it ended at the Sea (note: That is, the Mediterranean Sea, also called the Great Sea; also in verses 6 and 8).
καὶ ἐκληρονόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰωσήφ, Ἐφράιμ καὶ Μανασσή.
So Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph, received their inheritance.
Καὶ ἐγενήθη ὅρια υἱῶν Ἐφράιμ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια τῆς κληρονομίας αὐτῶν ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν Ἀσταρὼθ καὶ Ἐρὸκ ἕως Βαιθωρὼν τὴν καὶ Γαζαρά.
This was the territory of the descendants of Ephraim by their clans: The border of their inheritance went from Ataroth-addar in the east to Upper Beth-horon
καὶ; ἐλεύσεται τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν εἰς Ἱκασμὼν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ Θέρμα. περιελεύσεται εἰς ἀνατολὰς εἰς Θηνασὰ καὶ Σελλησά, καὶ παρελεύσεται ἀπ’ ἀνατολῶν εἰς Ἰανῶκα
and out toward the Sea. From Michmethath on the north it turned eastward toward Taanath-shiloh and passed by it to Janoah on the east.
καὶ εἰς Μαχῶ καὶ Ἀσταρώθ, καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐλεύσεται ἐπὶ Ἰερειχώ, καὶ διεκβαλεῖ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰορδάνην.
From Janoah it went down to Ataroth and Naarah, and then reached Jericho and came out at the Jordan.
καὶ ἀπὸ Τάφου πορεύσεται τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ θάλασσαν ἐπὶ Χελκανά, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτῶν ἐπὶ θάλασσαν· αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς Ἐφράιμ κατὰ δήμους
From Tappuah the border went westward to the Brook of Kanah and ended at the Sea. This was the inheritance of the clans of the tribe of Ephraim,
καὶ αἱ πόλεις αἱ ἀφορισθεῖσαι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἐφράιμ ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς κληρονομίας υἱῶν Μανασσή, πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμα αὐτῶν;
along with all the cities and villages set apart for the descendants of Ephraim within the inheritance of Manasseh.
καὶ οὐκ ἀπώλεσεν Ἐφράιμ τὸν Χαναναῖον τὸν κατοικοῦντα ἐν Γάζερ· καὶ κατῴκει ὁ Χαναναῖος ἐν τῶ Ἐφράιμ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης, ἕως ἀνέβη Φαραὼ βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν καὶ αὐτὴν ἐν πυρί, καὶ τοὺς χαναναίους καὶ τοὺς Φερεζαίους καὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν Γάζερ ἐξεκέντησαν· καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν Φαραὼ ἐν φερνῇ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ.
But they did not drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer. So the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day, but they are forced laborers.
