Ἑν ἡμέρᾳ μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοὺ πρώτου νουμηνίᾳ στήσεις τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου·
“On the first day of the first month you are to set up the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting.
καὶ σκεπάσεις τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ μαρτυρίου τῷ καταπετάσματι·
Put the ark of the Testimony (note: That is, the ark of the covenant; also in verses 5 and 21) in it and screen off the ark with the veil.
καὶ εἰσοίσεις τὴν τράπεζαν; καὶ προθήσεις τὴν πρόθεσιν αὐτῆς· καὶ εἰσοίσεις τὴν λυχνίαν, καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς·
Then bring in the table and set out its arrangement; bring in the lampstand as well, and set up its lamps.
καὶ θήσεις τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χρυσοῦν εἰς τὸ θυμιᾷν ἐναντίον τῆς κιβωτοῦ· καὶ ἐπιθήσεις κάλυμμα καταπετάσματος ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου·
Place the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the Testimony, and hang the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.
καὶ καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῶν καρπωμάτων θήσεις παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου· ’φ’ καὶ περιθήσεις τὴν σκηνήν, καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτῆς ἁγιάσεις κύκλῳ.
Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting.
καὶ λήμψῃ τὸ ἔλαιον τοῦ χρίσματος, καὶ χρίσεις τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτῇ, καὶ ἁγιάσεις αὐτὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς, καὶ ἔσται ἁγία.
And place the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
καὶ χρίσεις τὸ θυσιαμήριον τῶν καρπωμάτων καὶ πάντα αὐτοῦ τὰ σκεύη,
Set up the surrounding courtyard and hang the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard.
καὶ ἁγιάσεις τὸ θυσιαστήριον, καὶ ὦσται ἅγιον τῶν ἁγίων.
Take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and everything in it; consecrate it along with all its furnishings, and it shall be holy.
καὶ προσάξεις Ἀαρὼν καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ λούσεις αὐτοὺς ὕδατι·
Anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils; consecrate the altar, and it shall be most holy.
καὶ ἐνδύσεις τὰς στολὰς τὰς ἀγίας, καὶ χρίσεις αὐτὸν καὶ ἁγιάσεις αὐτὸν μοι·
Anoint the basin and its stand and consecrate them.
καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ προσάξεις, καὶ ἐνδύσεις αὖ. τοὺς χιτῶνας,
Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.
καὶ ἀλείψεις αὐτοὺς ὃν τρόπον ἤλειψας τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν, καὶ ἱερατεύσουσίν μοι· καὶ ἔσται ὥστε εἶναι αὐτοῖς χρῖσμα ἱερατίας εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, εἰς τὰς γενεὰς αὐτῶν.
And you are to clothe Aaron with the holy garments, anoint him, and consecrate him, so that he may serve Me as a priest.
καὶ ἐποίησεν Μωσῆς πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ κύριος, οὕτως ἐποίησεν.
Bring his sons forward and clothe them with tunics.
Καὶ ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πρώτῳ τῷ δευτέρῳ ἔτει ἐκπορευομένων ἐξ Αἰγύπτου νουμηνίᾳ, ἐστάθη ἡ σκηνή·
Anoint them just as you anointed their father, so that they may also serve Me as priests. Their anointing will qualify them for a permanent priesthood throughout their generations.”
καὶ ἔστησεν σκηνήν, καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὰς κεφαλίδας καὶ διενέβαλεν τοὺς μοχλοὺς καὶ ἔστησεν τοὺς οτύλους·
Moses did everything just as the LORD had commanded him.
καὶ ἐξέτεινεν τὰς αὐλαίας ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνήν, καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὸ κατακάλυμμα τῆς σκηνῆς ωθεν, καθὰ συνέταξεν Κύριος τῷ Μωσῇ.
So the tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month of the second year.
Καὶ τὰ μαρτύρια ἐνέβαλεν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, καὶ ὑπέθηκεν τοὺς διωστῆρας ὑπὸ τὴν κιβωτόν,
When Moses set up the tabernacle, he laid its bases, positioned its frames, inserted its crossbars, and set up its posts.
καὶ εἰσήνεγκεν τὴν κιβωτὸν εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὸ κατακάλυμμα τοῦ καταπετάσματος, καὶ ἐσκέπασεν τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ μαρτυρίου, ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering over the tent, just as the LORD had commanded him.
καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὴν τράπεζαν εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἐπὶ τὸ κλίτος τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου τὸ πρὸς βορρᾶν ἔξωθεν τοῦ καταπετάσματος τῆς σκηνῆς,
Moses took the Testimony and placed it in the ark, attaching the poles to the ark; and he set the mercy seat atop the ark.
καὶ προέθηκεν ἐπ’ αὐτῆς ἄρτους τῆς προθέσεως ἔναντι κυρίου, ὅν τρόπον συνέταξεν Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle, put up the veil for the screen, and shielded off the ark of the Testimony, just as the LORD had commanded him.
καὶ ἔθηκεν τὴν λυχνίαν εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου, εἰς τὸ κλίτος τῆς σκηνῆς τὸ πρὸς νότον,
Moses placed the table in the Tent of Meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil.
καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς ἔναντι κυρίου, ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
He arranged the bread on it before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
καὶ ἔθηκεν τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χρυσοῦν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἀπέναντι τοῦ καταπετάσματος,
He also placed the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle
καὶ ἐθυσίασεν ἐπ' αὐτοῦ τὸ θυμίαμα τῆς συνθέσεως, καθάπερ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
and set up the lamps before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
Καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τῶν καρπωμάτων ἔθηκεν παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς,
Moses placed the gold altar in the Tent of Meeting, in front of the veil,
καὶ καὶ ἔστησεν τὴν αὐλὴν κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τοῦ θυσιἀστηρίου· καὶ συνετέλεσεν Μωυσῆς πάντα τὰ ἔργα.
and he burned fragrant incense on it, just as the LORD had commanded him.
Καὶ ἐκάλυψεν ἢ νεφέλη τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ δόξης κυρίου ἐπλήσθη ἢ σκηνή·
Then he put up the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.
καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνάσθη Μωσῆς εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου, ὅτι ἐπεσκίαζεν ἐπ’ αὐτὴν ἡ νεφέλη, καὶ δόξης κυρίου ἐπλήσθη ἡ σκηνή.
He placed the altar of burnt offering near the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the grain offering, just as the LORD had commanded him.
ἡνίκα δ’ ἄν ἀνέβη ἀπὸ τῆς σκηνῆς ἡ νεφέλη, ἀνεζεύγνυσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ σὺν τῇ ἀπαρτίᾳ αὐτῶν·
He placed the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing;
εἰ δὲ μὴ ἀνέβη ἡ νεφέλη, οὐκ ἀνεζεύγνυσαν ἕως ἡμέρας ἦς ἀνέβη ἡ νεφέλη.
and from it Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and feet.
νεφέλη γὰρ ἦν ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς ἡμέ καὶ πῦρ ἦν ἐπ’ αὐτῆς νυκτός, ἐναντίον παντὸς Ἰσραήλ, ἐν ταῖς ἀναζυγαῖς αὐτῶν.
They washed whenever they entered the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
