Now Benjamin begot Bale his first-born, and Asbel his second [son], Aara the third, Noa the fourth,
Benjamin was the father of Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,

and Rapha the fifth.
Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
8:3
And the sons of Bale were, Adir, and Gera, and Abiud,
The sons of Bela: Addar, Gera, Abihud (note: Possibly Gera the father of Ehud; see verse 7.),

and Abessue, and Noama, and Achia,
Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,
8:5
and Gera, and Sephupham, and Uram.
Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram.
8:6
These [were] the sons of Aod: these are the heads of families to them that dwell in Gabee, and they removed them to Machanathi:
These were the descendants of Ehud who were the heads of the families living in Geba and were exiled to Manahath:
8:7
and Nooma, and Achia and Gera, he removed them, and he begot Aza, and Jachicho.
Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera, who carried them into exile and who was the father of Uzza and Ahihud (note: Or and Gera, that is Heglam, who was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.).
8:8
And Saarin begot [children] in the plain of Moab, after that he had sent away Osin and Baada his wives.
Shaharaim had sons in the country of Moab after he had divorced his wives Hushim and Baara.
8:9
And he begot of his wife Ada, Jolab, and Sebia, and Misa, and Melchas,
His sons by his wife Hodesh: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,
and Jebus, and Zabia, and Marma: these [were] heads of families.
Jeuz, Sachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of families.
And of Osin he begot Abitol, and Alphaal.
He also had sons by Hushim: Abitub and Elpaal.
And the sons of Alphaal; Obed, Misaal, Semmer: he built Ona, and Lod, and its towns:
The sons of Elpaal: Eber, Misham, Shemed (who built Ono and Lod with its villages),
and Beria, and Sama; these [were] heads of families among the dwellers in Elam, and they drove out the inhabitants of Geth.
and Beriah and Shema (who were the heads of families living in Aijalon and who drove out the inhabitants of Gath).
And his brethren [were] Sosec, and Arimoth,
Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth,
and Zabadia, and Ored, and Eder,
Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,
and Michael, and Jespha, and Joda, the sons of Beria:
Michael, Ishpah, and Joha were the sons of Beriah.
and Zabadia, and Mosollam, and Azaki, and Abar,
Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,
and Isamari, and Jexlias, and Jobab, the sons of Elphaal:
Ishmerai, Izliah, and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.
and Jakim, and Zachri, and Zabdi,
Jakim, Zichri, Zabdi,
and Elionai, and Salathi,
Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel,
and Elieli, and Adaia, and Baraia, and Samarath, sons of Samaith:
Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.
and Jesphan, and Obed, and Eliel,
Ishpan, Eber, Eliel,
and Abdon, and Zechri, and Anan,
Abdon, Zichri, Hanan,
and Anania, and Ambri, and Ælam, [and] Anathoth,
Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah,
and Jathin, and Jephadias, and Phanuel, the sons of Sosec:
Iphdeiah, and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.
and Samsari, and Saarias, and Gotholia,
Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah,
and Jarasia, and Eria, and Zechri, son of Iroam.
Jaareshiah, Elijah, and Zichri were the sons of Jeroham.
These [were] heads of families, chiefs according to their generations: these dwelt in Jerusalem.
All these were heads of families, the chiefs according to their genealogies, and they lived in Jerusalem.
And the father of Gabaon dwelt in Gabaon; and his wife's name was Moacha.
Jeiel the father of Gibeon lived (note: Some LXX manuscripts (see also 1 Chronicles 9:35); Hebrew The father of Gibeon lived) in Gibeon. His wife’s name was Maacah,
And her first-born son was Abdon, and Sur, and Kis, and Baal, and Nadab, and Ner,
and Abdon was his firstborn son, then Zur, Kish, Baal (note: Some LXX manuscripts include Ner; see 1 Chronicles 9:36.), Nadab,
and Gedur and his brother, and Zacchur, and Makeloth.
Gedor, Ahio, Zecher (note: Zecher is likely a variant of Zechariah; see 1 Chronicles 9:37.),
And Makeloth begot Samaa: for these dwelt in Jerusalem in the presence of their brethren with their brethren.
and Mikloth, who was the father of Shimeah (note: Shimeah is a variant of Shimeam; see 1 Chronicles 9:38.). They too lived alongside their relatives in Jerusalem.
And Ner begot Kis, and Kis begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, and Melchisue, and Aminadab, and Asabal.
Ner was the father of Kish, Kish was the father of Saul, and Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal (note: Esh-baal is also called Ish-bosheth; see 2 Samuel 2:8.).
And the son of Jonathan [was] Meribaal; and Meribaal begot Micha.
The son of Jonathan: Merib-baal (note: Merib-baal is also called Mephibosheth; see 2 Samuel 4:4.), and Merib-baal was the father of Micah (note: Micah is a variant of Mica; see 2 Samuel 9:12.).
And the sons of Micha; Phithon, and Melach, and Tharach, and Achaz.
The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tarea (note: Tarea is a variant of Tahrea; see 1 Chronicles 9:41.), and Ahaz.
And Achaz begot Jada, and Jada begot Salæmath, and Asmoth, and Zambri; and Zambri begot Mæsa;
Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah (note: Jehoaddah is a variant of Jarah or Jadah; see 1 Chronicles 9:42.), Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri, and Zimri was the father of Moza.
and Mæsa begot Baana: Rhaphæa, [was] his son, Elasa his son, Esel his son.
Moza was the father of Binea. Raphah (note: Raphah is a variant of Rephaiah; see 1 Chronicles 9:43.) was his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.
And Esel [had] six sons, and these [were] their names; Ezricam his first-born, and Ismael, and Saraia, and Abdia, and Anan, and Asa: all these [were] the sons of Esel.
Azel had six sons, and these were their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
And the sons of Asel his brother; Ælam his first-born, and Jas the second, and Eliphalet the third.
The sons of his brother Eshek: Ulam was his firstborn, Jeush second, and Eliphelet third.
And the sons of Ælam were mighty men, bending the bow, and multiplying sons and grandsons, a hundred [and] fifty. All these [were] of the sons of Benjamin.
The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor, archers, and they had many sons and grandsons—150 in all. All these were the descendants of Benjamin.
